This is my new favorite picture of Rowan, my little dog. He knows he's supposed to place the ball at my feet but he loves playing tug-o-war with it.
In this picture he's "talking" to me, making the most unusual dog sounds you've ever heard.
Rowan has just posted some new photos on his own blog. It'd make him feel real good if you went right on over and gave them a look-see.

That is a wonderful photo. Such beautiful eyes.
Smokey likes to hang onto the toys too. The only way we manage to get in a game of fetch is to have multiple toys and get him to "Drop it" by refusing to throw another until he releases the first. Even then, he often "cheats" by swooping and grabbing the one he dropped before racing off to get the one we tossed. So I pile up 8 or 9 toys and play till they are all in the other room. It works, sort of.

Lindy, does Rowan ever make a noise similar to a cat purring? Diana makes that sound, and I can feel the vibration under her neck?
